Leadership

Meet our team.

Penn & Heather Clark

Penn and Heather Clark

General Oversight
Originally from Canada, the Clarks moved to Penn Yan with the vision of seeing a Spirit-filled church flourish in the area. It is their continued heart to see revival and hope brought to each home. They love traveling abroad, taking in the view of Keuka Lake from their deck, and spending time with their grandchildren.

Jesse and Keren Lapp

Youth Pastor
Born and raised in the Finger Lakes, Jesse is rooted in this region and wants to see young people living their lives to the fullest. He is a “jack of all trades”, teaching on Sundays and hanging out with the youth on Wednesdays. Jesse is a taxidermist and loves hunting. He can be found snowboarding in the winter and hiking in the summer. And fun fact: Austin and Jesse, our youth pastor, are brothers!

Nelson and Amy Miller

Pastoral Care
When the Millers came for our Discipleship Program, they had no idea God would call them to this area or into pastoral ministry. Years later, they have continued to walk in obedience and serve this region. Nelson and Amy are passionate about seeing families restored and hope brought to every situation. They are enjoying this season of raising their family of four.

Jeff and Karen Martello

Pastor
WellSpring Hammondsport
Jeff and Karen have a passion to see people transformed by the power and love of God. They both have a heart for family and  community in the beautiful Finger Lakes. They enjoy the outdoors and spending time with their five children Luke, Lily, Levi, Leah and Lori. Their desire is to encourage and equip others to live a life of fullness in Jesus Christ and to help raise up a generation throughout the earth whose lives have been transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Phil and LaReta Riehl

Business Pastor
As a young family, the Riehls envisioned a life-giving church to raise their family in. Over the years, this dream has been fulfilled and the Riehls continue to serve this area in both ministry and business. They love creating a safe atmosphere where people are loved and cared for. They also love drinking good coffee and hanging out with their adult children.

Jared and Hannah Wigden

Pastoral Team
Church Administrator
Jared and Hannah along with their 3 children, have lived in Penn Yan for the last 8 years. One of their greatest joys is being able to raise their children in a life-giving community. They have a heart for ministering not only at WellSpring, but by traveling to other network churches and seeing lives transformed by the love of Jesus. Meaningful connection over a good cup of coffee is one of their favorite ways to open up their home to others.

Austin and Stephanie Lapp

Worship Pastor
Austin, along with his wife Stephanie, is passionate about serving in the community through worship and building a strong, Christ-centered family. Born and raised in the Finger Lakes, Austin's love for this region runs deep and his connections as a realtor are many. Austin loves helping people reach their full potential and works tirelessly with our worship teams. The Lapps recently welcomed their adorable daughter, Summer.

Heidi and Nate Esh

Church Connections
There was a time that Heidi was the lone member of WellSpring's youth group! As the Riehl's daughter, Heidi grew up in our community and has had a passion for the local church from the start. Heidi, now married to Nate, still loves to see people and families transformed by the power of hope in Jesus. Heidi loves to lead worship, travel abroad, and chase Finger Lakes sunsets. Heidi and Nate together enjoy being involved in small business and fixing up their old house and recently added a new addition, their son, Luka.

Before anyone is invited to hold a key position in our church, we ask that they go through the material on The Porch and Foundation, along with the first four rooms of the Discipleship House Plan. After that, they can study any subject they are interested in. We felt this process is invaluable in helping people understand our values and vision, which we feel is vital before assuming any position of leadership in our church.
